It’s been 17 years without you. I wish you could have been there at this moment the day before my birthday.

I made a point to have the following on the programs:

On this special day, we remember the late Rudolph Robinson, father of the groom.

When I was at the house last October, I found your vanity plate from the 260th Quartermaster Battalion. I don’t have a good place to put it, so it’s been in my car ever since. At some point, it’s going to be impractical, but, in a way, I like that it’s in there.

I miss you, Dad. I love you.
