Down to Nashville, Tennessee, Playlist

For the most part, the 100-song, door-to-door playlist was a playlist of playlists, which led to a couple repeated songs.

1-28) The entire Michigan album by Sufjan Stevens with undun by The Roots between Oh God, Where Are You Now? and Vito’s Ordination Song [undun effectively is an extended version of Sufjan’s Redford]

29-42) [A playlist I made to record on a cassette for a project]: Viscera Eyes – The Mars Volta; Meccamputechture – The Mars Volta; Tamacun – Rodrigo y Gabriela; Soledad – Astor Piazzolla; My Body is a Cage – Arcade Fire; The Loneliness of a Middle Distance Runner – Belle & Sebastian; Lloyd, I’m Ready to be Heartbroken – Camera Obscura; Mt. Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount – Aphex Twin; Beautiful – Belle & Sebastian; Elephant Woman – Blonde Redhead; Oblivion – Eroica Trio

43-80) [The Full Experience, my favorite song for every season from summer 2001 to spring 2006 PLUS the songs that played me in and out of jobs since 2008 … note the increasing frequency of Death Cab songs] The Lesson, Pt. III ( It’s Over Now) – The Roots; Mister Magic – Philadelphia Experiment; Ecclusiastics – Charles Mingus; Just the Two of Us – Philadelphia Experiment; Ne-Ne – Soulive; Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda – Beverley Knight; Quills – The Roots; One Flight Down – Norah Jones; Liquid Streets – The RH Factor; Shoot the Moon – Norah Jones; My Funny Valentine – Art Pepper; 3 x 5 – John Mayer; Self-Portrait in Three Colors – Charles Mingus; Cancion del Fuego Fatuo – Paco de Lucia; Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) – Arcade Fire; Amie – Damien Rice; Oblivion – Eroica Trio; The Gate – Belle & Sebastian; Vampire/Forest Fire – Arcade Fire; Come on! Feel the Illinoise! – Sufjan Stevens; Interlude + The Unknown (TWH Remix) – Lunar; Line of Best Fit – Death Cab for Cutie; Don’t Be Afraid, You Have Just Got Your Eyes Closed – mum; The Centipede – No BS; Stable Song – Death Cab for Cutie;  Stability – Death Cab for Cutie; Life in Mono – Mono; Music is Math – Boards of Canada; Jungleland – Bruce Springsteen; Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks – The National; I Didn’t See it Coming – Belle & Sebastian; Wrecking Ball – Bruce Springsteen; That’s Incentive – Death Cab for Cutie; Amputations – Death Cab for Cutie; Night Moods – Bob James; Git It Awn! – No BS; A Moment a Broken – Patrick Phelan; Weeping Rock, Rock – mum **Note: In this playlist, the last two songs are now Tiny Capers – Clifford Brown and He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s the Pilot – Grandaddy**

81-82) [Interlude of sorts … track 82 samples track 81, and they go well together] Homage to Dracula – Paul Lewis with Kronkite – Phil the Agony

83-95) [The Theme 10th Anniversary Edition, aka the very first mp3 playlist I made … in 2011, I “remastered” it by fixing a mistake and finding higher-quality versions of some of the songs.] Haitian Fight Song – Charles Mingus; Pete’s Jazz – Pete Rock; Souffles H (Souffle Your Wig) – Mondo Grosso; Gaze – Sweetback; Caravan – Duke Ellington; Ruggedness – Dilated Peoples; Ain’t it the Truth – Philadelphia Experiment; The Ballad of the Broken Birdie Records – mum; Didjital Vibrations – Jamiroquai; Philadelphia Freedom – Philadelphia Experiment; Life – Mondo Grosso f/ Paula Lima; II BS – Charles Mingus; Now You Know Better – Mondo Grosso f/ Amel Larrieux

96-100) [Play us out, Belle & Sebastian!] Family Tree; Beautiful; The Gate; Legal Man; Your Cover’s Blown (Miaoux Miaoux Remix)

I didn’t take an awful lot of photographs, which has been the case as of I kinda took John Mayer’s 3 x 5 to heart.

I'm still waiting for the charges to be reversed.

This is our accidental suite that got comped because of the allergic reaction.

The view outside was horrible.

Despite the sickness, I liked this room a lot, especially this carpet, couch and lamps.

The banister at the in-law’s house. I miss decorating for Christmas. Or in general.
