We’re close to settled. We need some furniture (I think I’ve said this before) but we’re more or less unpacked. My commute to Charlottesville surprisingly isn’t terrible, but I feel a little bad about burning all that gas with just me in the car. I draw a distinction between pleasure driving and commutes.
I managed to miss the 2,000th entry, but here are some quick stats to tide you over while I settle into the new normal, start posting regularly again and restart Noiseless Words when I have somewhere to put the typewriter.
This is entry 2,005. Over the past 11 years, this leads to an average of nearly 177 entries a year. That’s roughly 15 posts a month, so despite some major gaps over the years, it’s safe to expect an entry of some sort every other day.
It’s a little amazing that this has been running for 11 years now and that we have surpassed 2,000 posts that tell my story. Those days at 210 Deep Creek Road seem like only yesterday, and at the same time, seem so far away.
Two thousand posts. And the adventure’s just beginning.
