While we sat on that beach, a remarkable thing happened. I looked up at Renée’s face and could almost feel my writer’s block falling away. It was a beautiful moment. I was elated. I was inspired. I wanted to start writing right that very second. This trip precisely was what I needed.
This passage is the main reason why this post wins. I lost my writer’s block that day. If my life becomes a movie, the best way to represent that scene would be to give the actor portraying me a Keanu Reeves “whoa” look as CGI words rush past.
Currently, I’m writing less because I’m claiming to be busy, not because I can’t, e.g., Missy is why I haven’t gotten back into revising Brown River Blues in a few weeks.
Anyway, here’s the post of the year, the second part of the trip to Miami.
