I totally did not mean to not post for half the month. I seriously thought I made an entry a couple of days ago, but I guess I imagined that. I don’t even remember what it was supposed to be about.
Anyway, I know you really shouldn’t check your weight often when you’re trying to lose, because you’ll notice all the normal fluctuation on your downward path. But I came in at 189.6, and I’m going to run with that.
Beyond that, not an awful lot has happened with me. My routine nowadays is to take the dog out, watch Netflix or run errands, go to work and take the dog out again. I haven’t written anything in a while. I think I need some time to get used to factoring a dog in my life and go from there.
If anything, all the excitement has been at my mom’s house.
She bought the SUV I talked about, and less than 24 hours later, a pipe burst in her house. It wasn’t even weather-related. The house is 45-years-old, and that pipe’s time had come.
The next time I go home, there will be some new tile in the upstairs bathroom, a new wall and ceiling downstairs and new flooring in the kitchen.
It was that bad.
That is why you don’t let your homeowner’s insurance lapse after you pay off your mortgage.
